Go to these links to see some of our work over the last 50 + years. Boats that we did in the 80s with the Lifecaulk are still trouble free, as are the boats done with 3M 5200. We have been using 3M 5200 to bed the planks since the late 1980s. With modern caulking our bottoms are trouble free. We believe in doing true restorations our Century bottoms are single plank with batten seams as they were built. As can be seen, we also work on other brands but we like Century the best. Specializing in Century Boats for 60 years. The page was last updated September 7, 2016 This page is under continuous construction, not all links are up and running. So it is being offered for sale here on classifieds board with a very low reserve in hopes it will find a new owner who desires to patch the hole and get it ready for next springs boating season.Specializing in Century Boats for 61 years and counting. It currently is garaged and out of the weather but the storage area isn't going to be available much longer. All of the wood looks very nice of the interior wood. The glass is good in the windshield and the side angled quarter windows. All of the cushions are in good condition and everywhere there is a wooden seat there are also cushions thatgo with it. We had the boat taken to a local shop and they flushed the water out of the engine, serviced it and got it running again and since it was getting late in the year decided tohave it winterized. A severe and unusual wind storm came up and swamped the boat and alsorubbed a hole in the hull as our pictures show. He brought it back to Wallowa County and used it briefly on Wallowa Lake. These repairs and work cost himover $25,000.00 for all ofit to be done. Checked over and repainted the exterior of the vessel. Cleaned all of the interior finish and made it look almost like new. Heinstalled his new engine in hisshop and checked out the propeller, shafts, seals and everything about this boat to make sure it was ready to use. (He kept the old motor and it would be available if you wanted to go pick it up as he will not ship it.)So he decided to install a new modern fuel injected V/6 Chevy marine engine. He purchased this boat on the east coast and since the old original motor wasn't in the best of operating condition he chose to upgrade and make it a more reliable vessel. If I measured the beam width correctly it is actually closer to 7 feet 6 inches wide across the center of the passenger compartment. I am not sure that it is really a Runabout but comparing it to other pictures that is what I came up with. I am selling this vintage 1955 Lyman23 foot wooden boat complete with a nice heavy Sea Lion tandem axle trailer for a friend of mine.
